1. Begin with the map, not interpretation
First learn to recognise planets, signs, houses and aspects. Each answers a different question. Combining every layer immediately makes it easy to confuse an association with a principle.
2. Study in small sets
Choose one planet and observe how its expression changes through signs and houses. Write down questions instead of collecting an ever-growing list of keywords.
3. Separate description from judgement
A symbol is not a verdict. Instead of calling a placement “good” or “bad”, ask about tension, resources, context and possible expressions.
4. Use examples with consent
Your own chart is available but emotionally close. Combine it with well-documented public biographies and examples shared with permission. Protect private people’s data.
5. Choose structure and feedback
A good programme shows sequence, outcomes, sources and limits. Check whether you know what you learn, who is teaching and how questions are handled.
6. Leave room for uncertainty
Interpretation is a hypothesis situated in tradition and context. Mature practice includes correction, disagreement and the simple words “I do not know”.
